LA3204 PRETTY TOPS IN THREAD ($6.95)

Six patterns for
tops out of crochet thread, for that lacy look, all made with motifs which
will make them much easier to adjust. All have instructions up to size
x-large except Frilly Edged Crop Top, but I'm sure it could be adjusted
also. Tic-Tac-Toe Vest is sleeveless with a v-front and straight
bottom. Simply Classic Cardigan has a square neck, cap sleeves, button
front, and straight bottom. Delicate Lace Pullover has a round neck and
cap sleeves, with a straight hem. Frilly Edged Crop Top has a boat neck
with short sleeves, and has a pretty hanky-look edging around the sleeves
and hem. Beautiful Rose Petal Tunic has a front vent at the round neck and
vents on the sides at the hem, with short sleeves. Dazzling Diamond Vest
has a deep v-neck, button front, is sleeveless, and pointed hem in the
front. All are made in bedspread weight (size10) crochet cotton. |

SNUGGLE-UP BABY AFGHANS ($6.50)

A reprint
of an old, out-of-print leaflet or possibly two older leaflets, I'm not
sure. Patterns include many tried and true ones: Double Shell Stitch,
Fisherman, Spiderweb, Ripples, Basketweave, Stripes (waffle-look), Zig-Zag
Filet, and Squares (large motifs). All are made with sport weight yarn, a
good choice for baby blankets. |

BEST OF TERRY KIMBROUGH AFGHANS ($12.50)

A compilation of 26 of the best of Terry's finest full-size
afghans; I don't know if the original names of the afghans were used so it
would be hard to place them in past leaflets. Most of them are "romantic"
in looks, with a few more tailored ones included. Uses worsted weight
yarns, sometimes doubled. |

Two sweet little
dolls (18"), designer not given but possibly the same designer of the other
PM doll leaflet, dressed in shirt, diaper, and booties. Also included in
this leaflet are 4 baby blankets which may or may not be new patterns (they
look familiar): Hint of Blue is one piece with contrasting stripes
(horizontal & vertical) worked in afterwards, Touch of Pink is a ripple
with lacy rows of one color and closely worked rows of another color, Cloud
of White is a one piece shell pattern with lacy border, and Patchwork of
Pastels has 5 different granny-type squares in baby colors. All are worked
with sport weight yarn. |

Many of these I
recognize from other Leisure Arts publications, but I can't be sure that
they are all previously published. All nine patterns have a "winter" theme
- a snowman picture, snowflake motifs, some with lots of popcorn stitches
for snow. All are done in worsted weight yarn..

PATCHWORK AFGHANS THRU THE YEAR BOOK 2 ($7.50)

12 patterns with the look of a patchwork quilt, achieved by
crocheting 1-color and 2-color granny type squares and then sewing them
together to produce the pattern. The patterns include: Star Sampler, Nine
Patch, Pinwheel, Tulip Corners, Star Flower, Sailboat, Sawtooth Star,
Hidden Star, Fly Away, Bear's Paw, Fireball, and Four Crowns. All use
worsted weight yarn. |
